A wood–polymer composite (35% wood pulp) was 3D printed on the volumetric press as a single 0.2 mm layer, producing a paper-like sheet that is both pliable and durable enough to pass through a standard household inkjet printer.
Here, with both printing processes converging in a single locus, printing moves beyond the surface—no longer bound to the substrate’s surface, but permeated into the substrate’s very constitution, into its volume.
